E-CSLIT online meeting: November 21st

November 21st wasn’t a typical Thursday. In fact, it was a terrific Thursday, because it was the second E-CSLIT online meeting! Starting at 3:15 pm students and teachers began to log in to join Marivic, our E-CSLIT Chair, in the pre-show. During the pre-show Marivic entertained the students and teachers before the meeting officially began.

(Make sure to watch after show video at the end of the post)

Marivic welcomes everyone to the pre-show! She entertains everyone with her jokes :)

3:45 p.m. passed meaning the Minga meeting has started. Mike starts the meeting off with a magic trick!

Mike begins the meeting with a magic trick as he get’s everyone to touch his finger – did you feel it through the screen?

How the magic trick works: Mike showed 9 virtues of the month. Everyone choose one virtue by placing their finger on the screen and followed Mike’s instructions.  Somehow, Mike was able to make everyone move onto the square called “Year of Hope.”

How the magic trick works is that there is a by 3 array that has all the virtues of the month. Everyone choose a box to start with and listens to Mike's instructions. In the end, everyone all ended up at the square called "Year of Hope" despite whichever virtue they started on.

Everyone was AMAZED by Mike’s magic trick. Including me!

Mike introduces our guest speaker: JP Richards! (Do you remember who he is? Hint: Look at the first online meeting post ;))

The first key to success: Get Paid.

The first key to success: Get Paid for something you LOVE doing.  “Pay” could come in the form of knowledge, fun, experience, contacts, and opportunity.

There was a poll asking Who do you think is younger? Mike or Jp? And E-CSLIT voted that Mike is younger! Do you agree?
