On January 19, 2017, Metroland Media interviewed our Philippines Service Team for a newspaper article posted on insidetoronto.com
It was actually our first time reconnecting since returning to Toronto. It was very heartwarming to see everyone again.
After being interviewed and taking pictures we all went out to dinner to celebrate Jermin’s birthday.
We know that we all will carry a special bond with one another because of the experience we all shared together while serving those in the Philippines and putting our faith into action.

Being interviewed was such an amazing opportunity! It was nice being able to talk about this trip to people who I wish would care enough to see the impact this trip has on teens in our school board and kids in the Philippines. I felt it was important to speak out about this trip to give it more recognition for it’s power to mold young students into leaders.
