On December 29, we visited the St. Martin de Porres Orphanage and got to visit the slums of Tondo.
We were shocked by the living conditions for it was drastically different from what we are use to in Toronto. What surprised us most was how welcoming, happy, and positive the people who lived here were.
Everyone had a smile on their face and that taught us that it’s not material things that make us happy, but community, friendship, family, and love.
