CSLIT- September General Assembly

This year’s first General Assembly kicked off with a warm welcome from student trustees’ Rhea and Joel.

Rory McGuckin – Director of Education

Directory of Education Rory McGuckin discusses the importance of leadership, and what it means to be leader. He addresses how essential student involvement is, and how it can bring positive change into our schools.

Equity of Outcomes

Mr. McGuckin challenged CSLIT leaders to create environments and situations where everyone is able to have equal opportunities. A question that was asked is how are we able to develop an action plan for equity among all?

Environment Stewardship

Mr. McGuckin challenged student leaders to take a look at the environmental footprint their school leaves and encouraged all schools to develop or enhance their school Eco Team? What are areas that can be improved and what areas are we overlooking?

Inclusion & Belonging

Mr. McGuckin emphasized the importance for all students to feel like they belong. Our TCDSB Director challenged all of use to create loving school environments where everyone feels safe and included.

Play and active role in creating the type of school you want to be in and BE . THE CHANGE you want to see.
