ECSLIT Webinar

January 17, 2019 – Student leaders gather on Skype for a leadership webinar live from the CEC.

The Webinar was off to a running start with our first order of business – a game! Students put their put their knowledge to the test while competing in a Catholic Student Leadership trivia contest. Congratulations to the winners, they got a free pizza lunch for their class!

Next on the bill: Our keynote speaker: Joe Melendrez!

Joe joined us over Skype all the way from California to share his message with student leaders. Joe explored the meaning behind Matthew 28: 19-20 and how it explains that disciples and leaders of Christ are his recruiters, and have a duty to extend the Lord’s invitation to people of every nation.

After Joe’s amazing speech, it was time for one more game, this time: Name that tune! Participants “played it by ear” to guess a song from reading a sample of its lyrics – with no music!

The winning school received a free pizza lunch for their class!

Finally, the student leaders watched and broke down a video about our virtue of the month for January: Courage. They gave their thoughts on various topics related to leadership and courage. You can check it out below!
