WHAT’S HAPPENING TODAY?

  • Meet the Student Trustee candidates! We’ll be putting each ST candidate on the hot seat to answer some rapid fire questions.  
  • Guest speakers: Rhea Carlisle former TCDSB Student Trustee.
  • Fun Games and prizes (pizza and gift cards).

Meet, discuss, and collaborate with student leaders from across the TCDSB! All high school students are welcome!

Have a look at today’s agenda. Our great student trustee’s, Kathy and Keith will be leading us today.
Let’s start the meeting with the Land Acknowledgement and opening prayer lead by Anum, a student leader from Madonna.
Our first guest speaker is Greg Rogers, the Grandfather of Catholic Student Leadership. Greg told us about the history of student trustee position and why student voice is so important. Watch here
Time play a fun game “Finish The Lyrics”. with Makayla, Kathy, Audri and Makeda. Can you guess the next line in this Drake song. Test your musical knowledge by watching the recorded live broadcast.
The time has come to meet all of our student trustee candidates. All candidates answered a series of rapid-fire questions including “what three traits make you fit for the role of student trustees.” See what each candidate had to say. WATCH HERE
Our guest speaker was Rhea Carlisle, former TCDSB Student Trustee who talked about what it takes to hold such an important position of leadership.
Now to determine the pizza winner for the “finish the lyric” game we played earlier. Congratulations CHERISSE!

At the end of each CSLIT meeting we close in meditation with Alexia Cito, fellow graduate from Cardinal Carter.
