What 

The Inclusion and Belonging Retreat is a day to celebrate the differences
of out students and to pay homage to the many minority groups within the TCDSB.

Friday, May 26
9:00 am – 3:00 pm
8:30 – Arrival and Registration

Who

Any secondary TCDSB school student or teacher passionate
about minority issues in the TCDSB including LGBTQ+, mental health,
and bullying.

Why 

To empower and educate youth on issues students do face today in their schools
and the stigma against uniqueness.

An opportunity to network with other student leaders as well as be educated outside of
the school environment by like-minded speakers and workshops.

  2. Great to see something continuing for LGBTQ+ kids. Unfortunate that it’s lumped in with Mental Health and bullying. Bring LGBTQ is not a mental illness and more than bullying. Celebrating LGBTQ kids actually reduces mental illness and builds resilience.
