February ECSLIT Meeting

February 6th – Student leaders gather at the CEC for the first ECSLIT Face to Face meeting of 2020!

The afternoon started with student leaders meeting in the atrium, and then splitting up into different rooms to attend their selected Camp O information meetings.

Joining us this month was guest speaker Sam Demma. Sam spoke about his struggles in attaching his self worth to his achievements, and about the importance of resiliency. To learn more about Sam, check him out here.

We’d like to thank Trustee Norm Di Pasquale for taking the time to stop by our meeting to welcome the student leaders here for ECSLIT!

After our guest speaker, it was time for this month’s challenge! Schools were asked to prepare a Catholic Student Leadership video to show at ECSLIT. Every video was incredibly creative and highlighted what Catholic Student Leadership is about. And of course, they reminded us to… Get Involved!

This month’s teacher challenge was a Nose Jousting Tournament! Teachers from the East and the West face off and try to grab the other teachers tape from their nose, with their own tape on their nose. Congratulations to the West side teachers for the win!
