What is Student Council Central? Why is it important?
Student Council Central is student led professional development initiative for student council members. At Student Council Central, student leaders will learn topics such as conflict management, how to create safe school environments, and a culture of student leadership during these unique times.
In addition, Student Council Central gives students the opportunity to network and share their best practices with student council members from other schools across the TCDSB.
Who Attends Student Council?
- Student council presidents from each TCDSB secondary school
- 4 additional student council members

When and Where is it?
When:
Thursday, February 3rd, 2022
9:30 am – 2:30 pm
Where:
Virtually. Links will be provided. You will need to ask permission if you can stay home for the day in order to attend.
If your council is interested in attending please REGISTER NOW
PERMISSION FORMS
- Get permission from your school’s administration and student council moderator to attend.
- Register your council’s attendance by clicking REGISTER NOW.
- Have your parents:
a. Complete this online permission form. (If your principal requires a physical permission form and hand written signature, download a hard copy here).
b. Call the school before the event to report your absence. Your school principal will have a list of all council members attending.
